How to dispose of oil drums
Small empty oil drums from vegetable, sunflower or olive oil can be collected as general waste. If you don’t have a general waste bin please place them in a red general waste bag or attach a whole cardboard/ small bulky item sticker (yellow) to ensure collection. After general waste is incinerated any metals are recovered for recycling.
They can also be collected as part of your mixed recycling collection. Just place them in a blue bag or your mixed recycling bin.
Large 200 litre drums need to be collected via a bulky waste collection.
