How to dispose of polystyrene
Polystyrene chips (or “packaging peanuts”) and packaging (e.g. from electronic equipment and food trays) cannot be recycled and goes in your red general waste bag or bin.
When buying new items and/or produce make a conscious effort to buy things with as little packaging as possible. More and more distributors are also switching to eco-friendly alternatives such as paper, starch- and wool-based padding.
